Australia Zoo | Home Of The Crocodile Hunter
Posted by Michelle Anderson on Jan 11th, 2016
Australia Zoo, Home of the Crocodile Hunter is an ultimate family experience on the Sunshine Coast of Australia, less than one hour drive north of Brisbane airport and set amongst the Glass House Mountains.
Many people will recall Steve Irwin, a larger than life crocodile hunter from Australia Zoo who tragically passed away in 2008 doing something he loved – working with wildlife. It was the unfortunate stab of a Sting Ray that ended his life but in wonderful tribute to his work, wife Terri, daughter Bindi and son Robert have carried on his passion and I know he’ll be so proud of all of them! (Bindi recently won Dancing With The Stars USA!).
Australia Zoo is open from 09.00am to 05.00pm every day of the year except for Christmas Day.
It is easy to fill in a day there and the highlight is the wildlife action at the Crocoseum held at midday. You can plan your day here.
Check out our slow moving, slithering , cuddly and snappy video here!
I highly recommend a visit to AUSTRALIA ZOO where you too can get up close and personal with the animals.
